EXPLORING THE NORTH  (12 days)

Hanoi, SaPa, LaiChau, SonLa, MaiChau, HaLong Bay, CatBa Island

This information is to your options ( Sundays market for Bac Ha, Muong Khuong market on Sundays, Can Cau market on Saturdays, Coc Ly market on Tuesdays - come to Coc Ly market then take a boat trip on Chay river is a truly not day dream !!! )

Itinerary

Day 1: HANOI
At the arrival, airport pick up,  transfer to hotel. At leisure.
Day 2: HANOI CITY TOUR
Today we see all Ha Noi attractions, evening see water puppet show.
Day 3: HANOI - SAPA
370 km road trip to SaPa with sightseeing stops along the road. Lunch en route. Late afternoon we will arrive Sapa. [B]

Day 4: SAPA
Trek Lao Chai, Tavan villages where H'monng people live - study local cultures, jeep pick up and bring you back to SaPa town, where we spend the night in a comfortable hotel. Evening: free for the "night market" of the hill tribes. [B]
Day 5: SAPA - LAI CHAU
Drive on to LaiChau, passing the highest in Vietnam mountain pass. Today we will have a chance to visit one of the most colourful hill tribes market, where there is many different ethnic minority peoples joining in. Dinner and overnight in guest house. [B]
Day 6: LAI CHAU - SON LA
Cruise down the Black river by boat, witness ordinary life of the Thai and H'mong and other hill tribes  along the river bank and forest (Many people here have never seen Westerner before so children may cry or scare). After about 7 hour boat ride  we arrive Park Uon - Thuan Chau where our car is waiting and drive us to Son La town. Tonight, we stay in a hotel in Son La. [B,L,D]

Day 7: MAI CHAU HOME STAY
Transfer on to Mai Chau, where we will stay over night. [B,D]

Day 8: MAI CHAU  - HAI PHONG
Drive back to Hai Phong city. Lunch en route. Check in hotel. [B]

Day 9: HAI PHONG - CAT BA
Morning we catch ferry to Cat Ba island, check in hotel in Cat ba, afternoon visit Cat Ba National park. [B]

Day 10: CATBA - HALONG
Transfer landing where a big boat is waiting, soak in to the beauty of the thousand islands, visit cave, swimming in sandy beaches, eat all meals on boat. Overnight on boat [B,L, D]
 Day 11:  HA LONG - HANOI
We come to Ha Long city and where our van is waiting for us, pick up and drive back to Ha Noi. [B]
Day 12: DEPARTURE
Transfer to airport or railway station for departure. [B]

Note: This tour is only can run from October to April as other months are in flooding season and is very dangerous
