- Itinerary
Day
1: HANOI
Airport pick up service, transfer to hotel.
At leisure.
Day 2:
HANOI
City tour of Hanoi. AM: HoChiMinh Mausoleum ( if open) and
Museum, One pillar pagoda, Temple of Literature, old quarter..(we can do for your request
in this city tour ). [B]
Day 3:
HANOI - HALONG OVERNIGHT ON BOAT
AM: Drive to HaLong City (5 hrs). PM: Go aboard for
5 hrs sailing around the bay with some stops for visiting a cave and
swimming. Dinner and sleep on boat on the water of TonKin Gulf. [B,L,D]
Day 4:
CATBA ISLAND
AM: Arrive a small wharf, trekking to rain forest of CatBa National Park. Check in a hotel. PM:
Free at leisure. [B]
Day 5: CATBA - HAIPHONG - HANOI- LAOCAI
AM: Free at
leisure. PM : We get on hydrofoil to Haiphong, seeing Haiphong for a
while then drive overland to
Hanoi. Evening: Night train to LaoCai (airconditioned soft sleeper class). [B]
Day
6: SAPA
AM: Transfer to SaPa. Check in hotel. PM: Foot trip
to H'Mong villages of Lao Chai and Ta van (4 to 5hrs). Back to Sapa. [B]
Day
7: SAPA
AM: we will be driven to some other remote villages of
Dzay, H'Mong, Dzao
minorities. PM: back to Sapa, free at leisure. [B]
Day
8: SAPA - BAC HA- HANOI
AM: (we will choose any Tuesday,
Saturday, or Sunday to visit a hill tribe market) Start early (7.00am) to hill tribe's
Sunday market (Bac Ha Sundays market, Can Cau
Saturdays market, Coc Ly Tuesdays market, Muong Hum Sundays market), where we will have a chance to see people of more than ten
different minority groups, all dress up with their colorful traditional
costumes. Back to Chay river for a boating trip in to forest. Transfer down to LaoCai rail station
for the night train
back to Hanoi (soft sleeper class). [B]
Day
9: HANOI
Arrival in Hanoi at 04.30. Full day free at
leisure. Evening: Water puppet show.
Day
10: DEPARTURE
Transfer to airport or Railway Station for
departure. [B]
